ninthplanet: German psychiatrist/ photographer with a history of religious and sexual extravagance... Now at age 48, the various subplots of my life are finally weaving together to create a sort of sense. And with that sense comes the need to communicate some of what moves me. Language no longer serves me as well as it did when I was young--too categorical, too certain of itself, and I find that I am no longer the cunning linguist I used to be. So, I have returned to my old teenage love, photography. It has taken me until now to register the fact that I can use it to express myself, rather than just take pretty pictures (although I do not want to knock pretty pictures--they have their place). In this blog, I may want to show some of my own pictures, or other pictures I find interesting, to have a discussion, to ask for feedback, or just to use it as my digital sketch and scrapbook. It does not come that easy to me--I always worry that people will point fingers and laugh--but open communication always takes a risk. I prefer questions to answers, and most of my statements can be taken as questions.
